Prive Overseas Marine has successfully completed the Initial Document of Compliance (DOC) audit for their Oil/Chemical Tankers, achieving a remarkable result of zero deficiencies. The audit was conducted on behalf of the Panama flag. During the opening meeting, the Prive Overseas Marine Dubai team, led by Fleet Director Mr. Sandeep Manglik, was joined by BV Surveyor Mr. Ajayan Panicken.
Prive Overseas Marine conducted its first ever Ship Shore Drill with one
of its Fleet Vessels. The drill simulated emergencies such as blackout, loss of main propulsion, and
steering capabilities leading the vessel to be “Not Under Command”.
The drill was carried out jointly with Hudson Marine Management Services, our Qualified Individual. The
Aim of the Drill was to check the effectiveness of communication and coordination between participating
parties i.e. the Vessel, Prive Marine office, & various external agencies. Effectiveness of company’s
emergency reporting procedures was also verified. Very positive feedback was received from all external
parties for the overall response & professionalism showcased by the vessel & the Emergency Response Team.
The lessons learned along with corrective actions were circulated to fleet vessels for continual
improvement.
